Working with Jill has been one of the most transformative experiences in my life. I started working with Jill with the goal of losing weight. I hated my body and detested stepping on the scale. In the morning, the scale would dictate how my day would go. If I saw a loss, I would be happy… but would end up sabotaging myself because I felt I deserved a reward. If it showed an increase, I would starve myself, only to binge at the end of the night. I was sick and tired of working with trainers that would restrict my food, and constantly pat my back if I lost weight. (Sorry I sound so negative). I decided to work with Jill because I honestly was at my wit’s end. I couldn’t deal with another yo-yo result. Jill was my saving grace. Within 6 months I dropped 45lbs, started dating my husband again (I felt like I was in college) and had a newfound respect for my mind, brain and body. I have always struggled with being overweight. From a too chubby toddler to an overweight adult in my mid-20s, I have spent my life trying to achieve a normal weight. I could never understand how I could be so successful in other areas of my life and totally suck at weight loss. I tried every diet, several times. I even contemplated weight loss surgery. Nothing worked. I felt totally hopeless and still continued to gain weight. It wasn’t until I learned about my sugar addiction and the effects it had on my brain that I was finally freed to stop obsessing over what I couldn’t do and focus on what I could.
